I know the classifieds are basically just threads, but is there a way so you can see all of the classifieds, and not the just ones in their respective region? When the site gets larger, it might be a good idea to make the classifieds viewable by model, or year, and search them from there. Is this possible? Or is it possible to search all the classifieds at once, and I'm just not finding it? I figure it might help people looking for a specific part that are willing to pay a tad more (or even less... it seems like in the UK, I find parts for the vintage Saab's quite a bit cheaper) if it means they can get it. I like them broken up into region, but an option to search/view them ALL is what I think would be nice.

There is not an easy way to show all the classifieds on a single page. You can search through select forums with the Advanced Search Single Content Type: http://saabworld.net/search.php?search_type=1
Select all the forums you want to search through (with Control or Apple key) and enter your search criteria.

How about a Vendors board where business can promote special sales, discounts for SW members and so on? It's advertising for them but it also beneficial for the members.
Perhaps move the classifieds from the regional sections into a MarketPlace section, together with this new Vendors board?

Sounds like a good idea! Just happened to notice that in the Archives, the NG900/9-3 started in 1994, not 1993. And the C900 went to 1993, plus the 1994 convertible.

Should the terms of service (in this thread) be sticked to the top, so it doesn't disappear amongst all the other posts?

Any way we could get something like a "Trader Rating". I'm not exactly sure on how it works or anything, but it seems like this would be good for the marketplace. While a lot of purchases from bad users can be spread by word, this I think would help the marketplace. Only thing though, seems like anyone can leave a rating for the person. Thoughts?

Found it while looking at a troll thread.
EDIT: Looks like you must "Hack" the vBulletin account or something to do it... sounds a little dangerous.

There is a new LinkedIn group for SaabWorld: http://www.linkedin.com/groups?mostPopular=&gid=3665623
I also added fields to the SW user profile where you can add your LinkedIn profile and real name. Unlike many forums, perhaps we can emphasize dealing with real people and real faces instead of user names and avatars here on SaabWorld? I think it makes it more interesting when you know more about the background of the members you're communicating with. Perhaps develop SW into the professional and intelligent global Saab forum with good quality content and discussions? I think we made a great start in that direction already.
How about a new forum Career Center where employers can post job openings? Perhaps we're not big enough for that just yet..
Just a few thoughts...Last edited by nordwulf; 30 October 2010 at 16:09.
