I checked out the CMS part of the software a little bit more and the first post should now show on the home page.
Next step is to customize the look of the forum and get rid of the default vBulletin skin. I want to keep it simple for the default look but offer alternative skins in the near future.

We could use a logo for the site. Any photoshop or other graphics wizards around here? Perhaps a griffin (Saab) sitting on a globe (World)?

I propose the Saab plane (from the classic Saab emblem) flying over the globe/world.

I rather like this World projection, not fussy and a rectangluar logo is easier to place on a page. Could the profile of a Saab be superimposed over the Southern hemisphere .. of course care must be taken not to obliterate Australia and NZ but the Pacific, South America and Africa is free to play with

How about a simpler, more stylized representation of the world ?
Here's one from ESRI, a pioneer in the GIS industry. I have several of their coffee mugs

One thing that has come to mind over the past couple of days ...
SW users need patience.
It will take months, years for SW to develop the user and knowledge base that comes even close to the other Saab forums out there.
Remember, Rome wasn't built overnight ... and neither will this site.
There is going to be a lot of "why isn't someone answering this question" and we just need to have the understanding that we are building something that will, over time, become great.
Until then, we are going to have to rely on other sites for some of the answers.
Just something to chew on.President, The Saab Club of Canada

I think it is important we have at least one moderator for every model board. Someone who is familiar with that model and can assist with any question in there. Not necessarily provide the answer every time but at least some response so the new members want to come back. Nothing worse than a board full of questions with 0 replies.
