    Question Es1-4 stereo pains!

    Hi

I'm sure this is a problem that has been posted before but just wondering if there is a simple answer to my question. Can an aftermarket amp, ie Sony be fitted to the es1-4 bog standard stereo in my 2005 9-3 aero. Don't want the expense of amp1 and amp2 upgrade or 13 speakers.

Hope someone can help or direct me to a previous post to read

    Cheers all.

If you're going to change the head unit you might want to consider changing the speakers because the impedance will not match the 4 or 8 ohm amps/head units and you will lose sound quality. If you want to keep the original set up you can add an amp to use with additionally installed speakers like a bass box in the trunk.
