    Heater Box Replacement DIY

I have a 99 9-5 and the blend door is broken in a way that I cannot use the fix it kit available and have to replace the heater box. I have searched and cannot seem to locate a DIY for replacement. Any help appreciated

The EPC calls it the heater unit and it looks like its the Climate Control Unit in the WIS but also refers to the Heating and Ventilation unit.I t sure looks like major surgery and dismantling most of the dash. DIY? Not so sure..

Instructions from the WIS: Saab 9-5 climate control unit WIS.pdf

You'll need strong and long gloves because you're going in deep..! Take some pictures and let us know how it turned out.

    Hello,
Wondering if there is any updates to this. Looks like I've got the 9-5 death nail in my heater box too. The shaft appears to be broken internally (on the driver's/left side, of course).

    Cheers,
    -Dietrich

    Did you get it done?
More things change. The more they stay the same.
