Covering my seats with towels while I'm gone on Vacation for 10 days?
I'm leaving in about 2 hours for Florida and my Saab isn't going. It will have to sit in the driveway in direct sunlight, unfortunately. I was wanting to cover the seats and dash with cloth bath towels to prevent the sun and heat from fading/cracking the seats. But then I thought about the seats having to breath or whatever.
So would covering the seats and dash be a good idea, bad idea, or should I just not bother because sitting outside in one spot for so long won't hurt it?I don't drive fast...I fly slow

I lost my sunshade. Lol. I draped the towels so there is about 6 inches from the back and bottom of the seat. (At a grdual curve from headrest to seat bottom.) But do you thing the seats exposed for ten days will even hurt them?

Is your car only outside at night?

I decided to just say screw it and leave them uncovered. It sits outside anyway. I was just worried about it out in continuous sunlight in one spot. Because on a daily basis the interior gets cooled down by AC, doors/windows opened, etc. Too late to cover them now, I'm halfway throught Kentucky at this point. Lol.

Well, as seeing it's been at least 2700 days since your car was made, 10 days isn't even a drop in the bucket.
