Saab owner steals from Saab owner!

    I cannot believe this.

Just checking my tire pressure, mere hours after having washed my car, to find that my left rear valve cover cap has been swapped out for a standard black cap ... while my car was parked in front of my house!!!
I've quite certain it was the Saab cap like the other 3 when I washed the car.

First off, I can't believe that someone would have the gall to do that ... and it had to have been another Saab owner!
    Who else would want it!

Thieves like the Mercedes emblem/star on the hood. The Spirit of Ecstasy has a special feature where it drops down when you try to steal it. Perhaps someone (a non-Saab owner) was envious of your Saab and figured stealing a valve cap with the griffin has special value.

The question is... why would he/she only steal one and take the the extra time to replace it with a black cap?

I had someone remove all 4 once ... in my driveway!!!

They didn't take them though ... just threw them on the grass.
I ended up finding 3 of the 4.

And boy, did that ever tick me off!

The caps with locks does exist! Somebody stole that idea from Ken.
I had an idea that somebody "stole". Seat Gap Guard for Saabs: A SaabWorld exclusive - Blogs - SaabWorld I made a Saab Seat Gap Guard but later someone "stole" the idea.

I have about $45 in loonies. Actually, mostly quarters, about 100 pennies, a few loonies and twonies (or it is toonies?). TD's website says they charge non-customers to exchange coins for bills.

My brother has "1.8T" caps on his Passat, and he's always worried someone will snag them and his wheels. I had a bike back when I was a kid, with the dice valve caps, and someone took those. My parents, feeling my pain, got me the 8-ball ones and someone nicked one of those too! I just went back to the plastics. It's a shame when other people prevent you from having nice things that you like.

Someone tried to steal my dad's Mercedes emblem when he had a '88 300E. They didn't know that it won't just snap off though because it's attached to a massive spring. So they pulled the emblem out about 3 feet (permanently stretching the spring) and gave up. He had to get a ride to a hardware store to buy some lock cutters to cut it free so it wasn't bouncing off the hood as he drove down the road home.
