1999 2.3T Clutch
Hi,
I'm new to the forum and can't find an answer for this. My car has an Aero turbo running 18psi and the stock clutch can't handle it. But someone told me I could use an Aero clutch. Can I use an Aero clutch or do I need to use one of the aftermarket one?

From what I've heard you can replace the clutch disc (228mm) to a 240mm clutch plate, and get the Aero pressure plate. Everything else is the same as the clutch in your 2.3, but the flywheel will be worn to the smaller clutch plate diameter so you'd have to get it machined.
Genuine Saab even recommends it as an upgrade... "Factory Saab Aero (B235R) Clutch kit complete with Pressure Plate, Disk and New screws. Great upgrade for modified LPT."

Oh that's good news! I would never have changed the clutch without having the flywheel turned.
Thanks for the help, going to order it now!
