Heater Issues (2)

My 1999- 9-5 has 2 heater problems. The blower is only sending COLD air and its ALL going to the windshield. I replaced the thermostat a year ago and the SID is working fine. The problems is that I cannot direct the heater air to go to the 3 main vents just below the dash board. I cannot get any hot air onto the floor for the driver or the passenger or to the windows. Hope someone can help.

See if holding "Auto" and "Off" gives you an error code on the AC panel.

Sounds like you have a broken stop arm or stop arm + broken stop arm shaft. There are many write-ups about how to replace the part and correct the problem. I bought the replacement part, (made out of aluminum) that is used to correct the issue, then never installed it, (I ended up having a different issue). If you're going to purchase the part, let me know, I think I'm going to sell mine.
