New wheels now snow tires?

I think I got a pretty good deal yesterday on some wheels for the XWD and intend to put snows on.

I believe the wheels are Alu 39's from about an 08 9-5 Aero, or were optional. They were only $225 and one has a few tiny scuffs, no true "rash".

Any suggestions for a limited budget?

So far the leader looks like the Hankook IPIKE W409 ??

Both of my brothers have Firestone Winterforce's (one of has them on his Passat wagon, the other on his 335). They are a solid tire, and pretty cheap. Tread life seems to be doing pretty well too considering they drive like crazy.

I have a set of Cooper Weathermasters. Hate 'em. They are amazing with actual snow on the ground, but typically the roads are that wet slush stuff. They are horrible in the wet.

I only had the Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip so far and they were pretty good winter tires. They were due for replacement and lost a bit of their capabilities near the end. See my review in this thread: http://saabworld.net/f15/winter-tire...yours-here-15/

I have only heard good things about Blizzak tires and was ready to use them on my 9-5 for this winter. They are pretty affordable as well.
