Upgrade factory sound system - 2006 9-3, 4 door
Can the factory audio system, (SID) accommodate or integrate with an Ipod/Iphone. If so, how? There are no auxilliary jacks. I don't necessarily want to replace all speakers, (particularly doors) but I want better sound quality then I have. Any suggestions you have are greatly appreciated!

There only is the aux-in for playing music from an iPod. There is no integration possible where you can see song and artist info on the SID. The aux-in is in the center console and it is standard equipment on all 2006 9-3 sold in the US.
Check out the dash speaker thread in the 9-3 Tutorials section. That's the easiest way to get some improvement with the factory audio system. The 2003-2006 9-3 audio system is difficult to upgrade.

Thank you. I checked out the dash speaker thread, and it was very helpful.
