Coolant leak

So I have a 99 Saab 9-5 6 cylinder that's been running great the 6 months ive had it until about a week ago. I had the upper radiator hose rupture which I replaced. But now its losing coolant, it stays with enough that I can see some at the bottom of the tank and am constantly getting the fill coolant measage on the Sid. Also its making a weird squeaking sound when idling. The weirdest part is that I'm not getting any spots on the ground under the car so I don't know where the coolant is going. Anyone have any ideas?

Do you have a burnt coolant smell from the engine? The coolant/heater bypass valve can crack and leak coolant on the exhaust manifold. At least with the 4-cylinder, I am not sure if it is the same with the V6.

Yeah I do have a faint burnt coolant smell, I just thought it was from runoff from where the hose leaked. Thanks for the response!

The coolant burns before it can make a puddle on the ground when this valve starts to leak. It often needs be replaced every 100K miles.
