Muffler Fit

Am I wrong in thinking that the muffler from a 9-3 (part number 5324025) will fit my 1996 900 SE? I've run into a bump with my order, and I'm trying to get it straightened out... long story. SaabScott, didn't you say 9-3 mufflers will 900s?

If I remember correctly, my aftermarket JT exhaust system fits all models with turbo engine, ranging from 900NG - 9-3OG, as long as it is not the Aero/Viggen.

The NG900 and OG9-3 are interchangeable in the exhaust.

The 9-3SS on the other hand is completely different.

Be careful with individual pieces... I got a muffler and some pipes from a 1996 900 SE V6 5-dr Scarabe Green on beige leather automatic and it wouldn't fit a 1994 900 SE V6 5-dr Scarabe Green on beige leather 5-speed, the thing is similar enough that it would swap completely if I had the catalyst but it bolts differently to it...

Then someone was playing around at some point.
Both of those years and engines had interchangeable parts.
There were no changes to the exhausts.
