    Transmission cooler lower banjo bolt

    Hi Folks,

Any tips on getting at this bolt? I've got a slow leak there, tightened up the top one without any issue, but the bottom one is a pain to get at. Any tips?

I think I usually reach down from the top with a 19MM ratcheting wrench. If that doesn't work for you, from underneath you can usually get it with a 3/8 drive ratchet extension and a 19MM swivel/universal socket. Are you just trying to crank it down tighter or are you going to replace the washers?

Cool, just trying to tighten it as the top one was leaking and it stopped after I tightened it. Still small drops appearing so I'm assuming the bottom one is a little loose, just a PITA to get to. I did attempt it from underneath, just couldn't find a way to get my hand in there. Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough

Yeah, they're kinda of a pain in the ass to get to on the 9-5. They really didn't leave much space to work with.

I use an extra long wrench. Just need to usually snug them up a little and clean it up. 9 times out of 10 this is all you need to do. As mentioned the 3/8 extention with universal socket does work from below.
