I like to make stuff, and I was inspired by euromobile's handmade crossbow of death to start a thread.

What else have you guys made?

I'll start. I made this over the summer. I started with scrap ends of a gun safe, and made this:

It's about two feet high, and is just a little safe I thought was cool. Took me a bit to get the hinges right, as they were originally about 36" apart, and that's what's used to mount the door. I also had to add a key lock, as the original had a turn handle that would unlock after typing in the combo on the four buttons at top, and retract the door bolts. Since I made it so short, the bolt linkages had no-where to turn, and kept hitting each other. So I rigged up a little key lock that engages behind the door. It's not nearly as secure as the original safe I scrapped this from, but it works for keeping small things out of site with minor security.

This is what I started with (well... just a few parts from it).
