Engine temperature and heating problems
I just bought a 2001 9-5 2.3t. when i first checked out the car a few weeks back the radio worked but now it wont. any ideas what this can be. i have checked all the fuses and they seem to be fine.
next is the heater wont warm up and im not sure but the engine temp seems bit low to me when driving.
and last is the engine check light came on and i went to auto zone and a p1110 code came up. but from what i saw from searching might be the bypass valve but the turbo seems to be working great and the vacum lines also seem to be in good shape as well. and my last one is that where can i get parts from online. cause autozone and oreilys doesnt seem to have bypass valves and such and i need a maintance manuel as well.
thanks for any help

Amazon or eBay are the best best for a manual.
For the heater, press "Auto" and "Off" at the same time. It should trigger a little self diagnostic test, and on the screen it will display a number if there is a problem. ACC Fault codes | Saab 9-5.com has a list of what each number means.

The low engine temp and no heat could be a faulty thermostat.

The radio also has a fuse on the back but you have to remove the radio from the dash to get to it.

I find my SAAB cooling system to be very efficient, and even with a good thermostat it takes a while to warm up in the winter, even if I'm driving. Because of that I usually ut a iece of cardboard in front of the radiator when it's freezing, a trick I learned in Alaska. It won't overheat your car if the cooling system is good. Just make sure to remove it when it warms up above freezing.

in the mronings right now the coolest it has been is about 35 F or so. i did the code check and i have and 8 and 11. from what i saw that deals with the possition from feet to defrost and direct. am i correct? how will this affect the heater?

Yeah, don't cover the radiator at 35 degrees...
