Transmission shift "lag"?

When I first got my 9-4x, I noticed times when I'd step on the gas, and instead of immediately shifting and going, it would seem to "think" about what gear to down shift into, before accelerating.

After taking it in for the oil change and tire rotation (Jan 20), that problems seems to have been corrected.

I don't see anything on the receipt pertaining to it, only the oil change info, and ordering the parts for the rear washer and door handle.

Now, I've read on one SRX forum (2010 V6 non turbos: Have you had a transmission update? ) about a transmission update. Could that have been applied?

I imagine the transmission update wouldn't apply to the 2011+ models.

I never really noticed a significant lag but it certainly isn't as quick to shift as my 9-5 Aero in Sport mode.

The 3.0L Saab/SRX Cross-overs just tend to drive like that I think - it's an under powered engine for that vehicle. This is why GM has done away with that engine and now pushes the 3.6L Direct Injections V6 - lots more power, lots less problems. Shame - those 9-4x cars are so nice looking, Gm just dumped another V6 on them The 2.8T is sadly the only way I'd own one as the ecotech 2.0L never became an option before their demise.

Software updates do correct alot...
