AC/Delco oil filter = OEM?
Does anyone know if the AC/Delco oil filter sold at Advance Auto Parts is the same as the OEM GM oil filter for the 2.0T? I usually get the OEM filter from Eeuroparts.com, but I don't have any on hand at the moment.

Not exactly the same - but I've been running the PF53 on ALL my Saab's and Saturn's for years. I buy them by the case about 2 or 3 times a year....

I was in the local Advanced Auto Parts and they had Mann filters behind the counter. NAPA also runs a decent filter (Wix), bottom line if you change them like you should, you should be ok with any of the brands A/C, Mann, Napa.

NAPA Gold oil filter is excellent and inexpensive, I always used them back in the US.

Thanks, guys. Advance is running a month-long special on Mobil 1 starting later this week where you get 5 quarts of oil and a filter for something like $32. I guess I'll get the AC filter this time around and save some money.
