The stock cd player in my '97 9000 CSE Turbo is being difficult.
I bought myself a 9000 this past friday and i've been experiencing some problems with the cd player. When I put the cd in, it goes all the way in and starts making the clicking noise before it ejects and tries to re-insert itself. Occasionally, some combination of buttons or me leaving it alone will cause the thing to work just fine. Why is it making that noise, how can I get the "flawless insert"? I'd really appreciate the help.
Thanks

Is the unit pushed into the dash fully - if not seated there can be issues. Also - are you using a store bought CD or your own self burned disc? Older cars do not like CD-R/RW discs..... It could be due for a cleaning and or a service/replacement.

Which CD player do you have? I'm thinking about replacing my HU with a modern stereo, which will render the single-disc player (and 6-disc changer in the back) unecessary. Can you provide a pic for identification?
