There are instructions on how to do this in the owners manual.

Yes i read but paragraph 8 says: "Place the relearn tool against the tire sidewall, near the valve steam. Then press the button to activate the TPMS sensor. A horn chirp confirms that the sensor identification code has been matched to this tire and wheel position"
If i understand correctly i need some kind device which called "relearn tool"

This is what you should get which makes it super easy to reset;
GM Special Service Tools
Guy I work with has this exact tool and it works better then the GM original TPM tool - I reccomend this one as I want one myself. $63 is not bad either.European Motor Services, LLC - Point Pleasant, PA 18950 - www.europeanmotorsvc.com

So, I have a 9-4X and the guys at my tire place who rotated in my winter tires did not have the 9-4X in their reset machine and so could not reset it. If I can buy a product and do it myself in the future, I'd like to. However, your link no longer works, any suggestions on what product I should buy for my 9-4X TPMS reset?

Anytime a service guy can't find the 9-4X, tell him, "Just look under '11 Cadillac SRX." Every technical detail is identical.

I have the tool in Gepe's post. it makes it soooooooooo much easier than the "let air out" method.
