Land Rover - "Go Beyond"
So I've seen a couple of the new Evoques, and while they are drop dead gorgeous if you ask me, they don't seem to be very practical. I still drool over the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport too. But now Range Rover has displayed this. A possible Defender concept re-boot. Hideous... just horrible is you ask me. The real Defender is such a cool truck, and then there is this... this Kia Soul meets Nissan Juke. Ugly.
It does look better without a roof though... still not nice though.

I like the old Land Rovers because they were designed for a specific purpose. And because of that, the boxy interior makes a statement so it becomes cool for me. The Evoque is more of a fashion statement than a vehicle I would like to take on muddy trails and such, no matter how capable it is. That's fine for a crossover but not for a 4x4 which Land Rover is known for.
The Defender concept is not bad looking, actually. But it doesn't say "Land Rover" for me. The soft-top however is like the Murano. What's the point?

Topless version makes me think of the Jeepster concept vehicle....

I WANT TWO OF THOSE! Seriously I love the AMC Eagle, Spirit, SX4 cars - love them. They are the reason for AWD cars today.
