Roof wing install and chin spoiler refresh

So after 10 years, the chin spoiler was looking pretty rashed. That and my wife bought me a roof wing (Aero Wagon) back in 2010 that I hadn't done anything with yet. So, I figured it was time to paint both and install.
Chin spoiler and splash guard removed:

Chinless wonder. Looks odd to me.

Got the parts back from the painter yesterday, and managed to put the chin spoiler back on (Excuse the snow tires and winter wheel set up. Restored wheels will be going on soon):

And the painted wing. I'll be putting that on this weekend:

And in the interest of full disclosure, I did NOT paint these myself this time. Took them to Unlimited Autobody. These are the guys who did both the Commemorative 6 years ago, and the SE 'Vert 5 years ago. Fantastic work as always.

I installed a roof spoiler on a previous 9-5 and had it professionally painted as well. It's not cheap but the paint job matched the car perfectly. You get what you pay for.

I had the same bridge spoiler and it was pretty easy to install. You just have get over the fact you need to drill 3 holes in the hatch. The template that came with the spoiler made it pretty easy.

I do remember cranking down the center nut/stud kind of sucks because the access hole isn't all that big, but otherwise it's pretty much cake.

Save that template - others who buy these used don't get that lucky!

When are you selling your wagon? I want first crack at owning it.

I actually made copies of the original template, made sure the copy is scale 1:1 just in case....

    Got the wing on Sunday:
    Taping it off

First hole drilled. No going back now...

    Center

    Skipping right to the endgame...

I only got to see these pictures last night via Facebook mobile, nice to be able to see them on a computer screen today. Really finishes off the back end of the car quite nicely and looks fantastic in the sunlight, love the midnight blue.

Yeah, that center one was indeed a "beyotch!"
