    It's not too hard at all. I took the bulb socket and drilled a small hole in each side through the plastic and metal part for the positive and neg. side of the bulb. Then I soldered a wire to each metal connection at the whole I just drilled. I then ran those wires to the second bulb, and then I patched them in to the light for the headlight switch for power and ground. Remember, the LED's will work only one way, so it you put them in the socket, hood everything up and they don't work, reverse the bulb in the socket.

    Is there a good source for these LEDs and is it a complicated mod? I'm reading through different posts, and don't know whether we're talking about stock bulbs or LED mods here. I like bright illumination, so the brightness won't be an issue for me.

    Most people use these for the dash lights 194 LED Bulb - 5 SMD LED Wide Angle Wedge Base | Miniature Wedge Base LEDs | LED Car Bulbs | Super Bright LEDs
    It's a straight replacement.

    Somewhat related. I have smattering of electrical gremlins going on. One of my instrument bulbs intermittently flickers but is often dead. Also the heated seats are dead, cruise is insane, the rear defrost is dead etc etc. Does the instrument panel need any solder work after 25+ years on the road?
