Where in the world is this place?

St. Malo is correct. It is a town in Brittany near the Isle of Jersey. Jersey is much like the UK but technically not part of the UK. There's a ferry between Jersey and St. Malo.

Somehow, I think the challenge should be a little harder than St. Malo and a little easier than the Diables Bleus monument. On the other hand, I learned something new after reading about the monument.

We have had many holidays in the Vosges area of France - thought it MAY be not easy but not so difficult. Apologies to any members who were completely flummoxed by this.
Will have a new place by tomorrow evening (Tuesday 2nd May). Will NOT be in Europe!

That picture will be solved. I recognize it and know what country it is. Finding out which will be quick because it's one of two possibilities (W or R), in my opinion.

The photo is of Winnipeg. I thought it was either Winnipeg or Regina.

The next photo may be fairly easy. There are 2 observation decks. One is easy to see (big fat part) but there is also a higher one that is not that easy to see.

I am quite certain you are correct but lets wait to see what Dave says.
My only time in Canada was 25 years ago when we had to re-fuell before heading to Washington DC (Goose Bay).
Not very metropolitan at that time!.

We have a winner!

The CN Tower used to be the world's tallest building but since it is a tower, even though it had floor space, it was called the tallest free standing structure. It was built in urban wasteland, near railroad tracks, but now the land is quite valuable.
