Yes, Singapore it is. I watched a documentary about the Marina Bay Sands hotel and that 'island' on top is quite impressive.

Thanks for the confirmation - but I KNEW I was right! (not).Attachment 16363

Not a difficult picture - but with a recent addition.
    Good Luck.

I have driven across the Forth Bridge in Scotland a long time ago, probably the early 90s. The new bridge looks, well, very new and modern.

I'll be visiting this place in a couple of weeks. Last visit to this city was about 10 years ago.

I recognize that place without looking it up. Of course, by not looking it up, I could be wrong, especially with the exact names of buildings.

    Answer: Greenwich, next to London.

It looks like the view of the Royal Naval College (dual church-like domes) with Docklands and Canary Wharf (tall building with the pyramid top) in the background. The old ship Cutty Sark is just out of the picture on the left. The Royal Naval College has some nice paintings on the ceiling, which is accessible after a security check. The view looks like it was taken from the Royal Observatory and Prime Meridian.

Hint: The national government is seated in this city (capital city). That would rule out cities, like Sydney (Australia), Los Angeles and New York (USA), Nice (France), Gothenburg (Sweden), Chennai (India).

One of the buildings has a sign of a former bank Itau. They were headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The government center of Brazil is Brasilia but that looks like a newer city that doesn't really match this street in the pictures. So... my guess it is somewhere in South America but that's a big place with many countries. The search continues..

    Maybe help is needed?

The capitals in South America are, according to my memory,

    Bogata, Columbia
    Quito, Ecuador
    Caracas, Venezuela
    Georgetown, Guyana
    Cayenne, French Guiana
    Paramaribo, Suriname
    Brasilia, Brazil
    Montevideo, Uruguary
    Buenos Aries, Argentina
Port Stanley, Falkland Islands (if it is the Malvinas, then Buenos Aries is the capital)
    Santiago, Chile
    La Paz and Sucre, Bolivia
    Asuncion, Paraguay
    Lima, Peru

A bit of searching lead me to Buenos Aries, Argentina. I really would like to go to South America some day.

I came through this European port city last week and expected it to be ugly and boring. But there actually were some beautiful buildings. Most people who pass through this area completely bypass the city and probably don't even give it a second thought. This city has been in the news quite a bit in the last few years and not in a good way. The people that were in the news didn't want to stay in this city either. DavidMorgan passed through here but I don't know if he visited the city itself.

OKay - even I know this one well. But as its Christmas I'll say now't and let it lie until after the holidays - if not answered I'll give it a go.
BTW Had almost got the country because of the bank (either Brazil or Argentina).

I was going to guess Antwerpen but that has not been in the news lately. As far as French ports being in the news, Sangatte has gotten in the news. I predict this will be a good picture. Enough clues. Not too difficult. Not really easy, either.
