Have you thought about using stainless. Far more obtainable. You normally can only anodise aluminium. Not a good material for worm drive hose clips.

I never much cared for the appearance of those billet aluminum hose clamps. You're thinking of the ones that look like giant six-sided nuts or shiny sleeves, and go over the ordinary hose clamps, lright? I think they go really well on modified Hondas and such, but the bling level is off the scale! I far prefer normal worm-drive hose clamps (the OEM ones are the best quality I've seen, better than stainless ones, though they are not stainless) or, for the turbo/intercooler pipes, try some "T-bolt" clamps, like these:

These go much better on a non-Japanese car, in my opinion!

Well, if you like them, go for it! The reason people use the stainless "T-bolt" clamps is that they hold with a bit more force than standard worm-drive ones, which is useful in high-boost applications. I've heard of people upgrading after they blow their intake pipes apart a few times. Those ones from JEGS won't be any weaker than original, so if you're not having problems with that now, there's no reason you couldn't use them.

I should dress up my engine bay with aerosol graphite and lithium grease for Carlisle.
