More pictures to come, but anyways it was a nice enough day so I decided to pull the BBS wheels/tires out from behind the garage, clean them up and test fit them on the Aero wagon. Wasn't really sure at first but the longer they are on the car, the more they sort of grow on me. Initially, I was put off at the fact that visually, they don't appear as large as the '04/'05 5-spokes. Anyways, thoughts/comments are open and welcome:

My 01 Aero came with BBS RK II's which are worth about half what I paid for the car. They are hard to clean if you need to detail your car and the finish is not as durable as it should be, but are a good looking wheel. I did move over to high quality brake pads so now I have no dust at all so they stay pretty good. I did put a coat of wax on them which always helps with cleaning/

I had Rial Nogaro wheels on my 9-3 and they also looked smaller than the original 5-spoke Aero wheels. The spokes go all the way to the edge of the rim (same with the 9-3 Aero 5-spokes) so I think that's why they appear larger than other wheels. I think those BBS wheels look very nice on the 9-5. Something different and still not too flashy.

The longer I leave them on the car, the more I like them. I agree with you Mike on the RK2s, they are a nice wheel but durability is seriously lacking. I had two or three customers who had them on '00/'01 Aeros and they never took care of them, so the polished lip corroded out, clear coat flaked off and ended up looking awful.

Thanks, you can see more pictures in the garage section. There are a few shots with the new 18" wheels fitted.

I think they look great on your car!!!
I want to try some on one of my 06' 9-5's to see what they look like, maybe one day it will happen.

These were dealer-installed wheels, right? From what I gathered, they were offered by Saab USA and also appeared in catalogs in the late 90s.

There were a few variants, some that were factory fitted to early '99 9-5 SE with 4-cylinder engines and the more common RK and RK2s fitted at the port before shipping to the dealerships. The "factory" optioned RK wheel was also available for sale in the accessory catalogs from '98-'00 from what I've seen.
