Mark the 2nd of June 2012 in your calendars! That’s when this year’s Maptun Meet happens in Örebro, Sweden.

During the day there will be a Saab exhibition, Rototest demonstrations and lots of other fun activities. Of course there will also be great offers on tuning and spare parts.

Maptun will also offer you the opportunity to try our world-renowned software in your own car, with no obligation to buy!
The offer is available for all cars that can be programmed with our MapTuner.

The gates open for the public at 10.00 and closes at 15.00.

The winners of the exhibition will not only leave with a trophy, they will also be awarded with prizes from Maptun Performance. There will be two competitions; Jury’s choice where we choose our favourites and also People’s choice where you, the public, get to have your say.

Participants of the exhibition are asked to arrive in good time before the exhibition starts. The area will be accessible for exhibitors starting at 8.00. Car wash facilities are available in close proximity to the exhibition area, both as an outdoor jet wash and also as indoor “do it yourself” wash bays.

Man, I want to go so bad, but there is a 99% chance I will be in Afghanistan in early June.... argh

I arrive in Sweden early on June 1st, looks like we're taking a black on black '02 Aero wagon to the show. Gonna be a blast, will post pictures.

16 hour drive from here, including ferry. even without going to Afghanistan it is still a bit far. I don't think I can make it

That might be tempting...

I could get a four day weekend, but then it would be drive straight for 10-12 hours the first day, make the last few hours on the seconds, leave late on the third and drive straight through on the fourth. Not that I am against driving long hours and long days on my SAAB...

How else would you rather spend a weekend? Haha, I have 2 weeks of Saab filled craziness planned while I'm there...

Between this weekend's Rhein Main SAAB Club meeting, Passione SAAB in Italy in a week, IntSAAB in August and the SAAB Ride in the Bavarian Forest in October I am getting my fill of SAABness. Going North to the museum in Trollhattan is on my plans for some other time. The Maptun meeting is a bit further North than Trollhattan so it's a longer drive too.

Counting down the hours now, my first flight departs Rochester at 11:20 on Thursday morning and I arrive in Stockholm first thing Friday morning... Can't wait, this is kicking off two weeks of awesomeness.
