Hola Amigos from Mexico!, Saab made it to San Antonio where we left it at friends house for a week. Saaby drove relatively trouble free! Left front shock broke off from it's mount on the control arm in Austin TX, and was making a horrible knocking noise so I just took it off the car and threw it in the hatch, glad I brought some tools! Also he's shed the chrome strip on the rear bumper!
My friend Kaila painted her nails to match old Threepwood as she's become very fond of this fine swedish automobile! She loves him as much as me!
Also on the way to dinner in Austin we spotted this randomly on a side street and Kaila insisted we needed a photo with Threepwoods southern sibbling!!
Otherwise all is well here in Monterrey MX, staying with my sister and dining on some delicious Mexican cuisine and meeting some great people! Will post some more photos when I get home. Just thought I'd keep you guys updated! Off to see some more of this very interesting city

Looking forward to more reports and pictures of Threepwood' adventure in Mexico. How long are you staying there?

Just got home yesterday morning. Will post more pics from the trip later. Threepwood did well. He ended up with no front shocks by the time we got home as they broke apart at the base of the shock mount (shock itself broke not control arm) drove fine just felt like a big old Buick over bumps, kinda fun also at about 3:30AM Saturday morning right before getting into Albany NY on interstate 87 North the battery light came on yikes! Pulled over under a Hampton inn carport thing with lots of light and changed brush packs and tested wires to no avail, something internally bad with the alternator, we figured out if we drove it at a maximum of 2400RPM it charged and the light would stay out so that's what we did and we carefully nursed it home with no trouble even after we both got distracted by watching the dash to make sure the battery light wouldn't go on and ended up on I-90 west 40 miles in the wrong direction, all we could do was laugh about it and turn around. Just changed out the Alternator this afternoon and some new front shocks and a fresh oil change! Threepwood is still going strong. He did suffer about 5-6 rock chips on the trip and one serious rock hit the windshield from a lifted Dodge in Louisiana and cracked the windshield pretty good. Will just have it replaced at some point I suppose, probably after the winter is over and it's not broken windshield season here anymore.

Hey Chip, How is the 911? Is Threepwood hitting the road this summer?

Chip and I just went to the salvage yard to pick up a new Warm Up Regulator for Threep' (and I think an instrument cluster with working odometer, though I don't know if it was for another car?). I donated some spare K-Jet fuel lines to the cause as well.
Ask me a question about your c900! I promise I either can answer it or know someone who can

Very Nice.
Threepwood came from the factory with a KPH cluster. He spent his formative years tooling around Belgium and Europe before being shipped off to the USA.
The Cluster is rumored to be at Linconway where I picked up the car initially. I bought it from Steve Horn. In case you want to sleuth it out.

Hey Jeff! That's interesting about the cluster I may just give them a call, think they would remember the car or has it been to long? Not sure about road trips this summer I would really like to go to Nova Scotia as I've never been so that may be something I try to sneak off for a few days and go check out and maybe do a little camping, I think I would most likely take good ol' Threep on that trip. Very excited about finding an 8 valve parts car at the junkyard Sam and I checked out, now I just have to find time to put the parts on the car
