This is a very original model III having 1 repaint in it's original Green finish. It's Tan & Brown corduroy/vinyl high-back bucket seats with integral headrests and clever adjustable lumbar support pads is 100% original & in great condition as is all of the pleated back panels. You cannot even get this exact material in reproduction. The 1,498cc V-4 engine was rated 73hp at 5,000 rpm, manual rack and pinion steering, transverse wishbone independent suspension, Dual-circuit braking was handled by 10.5-inch Lockheed front disc and 8-inch rear drum, this Sonett rides on a set of rare optional Tuneverken alloy wheels. It has only 57K original miles & has a ton of documentation including the original bill of sale. These Sonnet's are so hard to find in any condition. Finding as good a Sonett III "Survivor" is worth it's weight in any Sports Car collection.

That's a lot for a Sonett. Vintage Saabs typically don't (can't) justify a price that high. Just not a big enough market for them, and they aren't really that great in an area (sporty, or luxury, or looks... for the era) to demand a price that high. Saying that, there will probably some guy out there that has been looking for a pristine one for long enough, he'll pay that much for it.

That emerald green Sonett that found it's way from RI to FL has been for sale pretty much all winter. I remember seeing it on Hemmings site. Probably, for the price, the color is a turn off. Part of me likes it but in white or black it would be a no brainer.

Grrrrrrrrrooovin on a Sunday afternoon in the 70's and close your eyes and you see that Saab and an electric blue Opel GT "Rallye", your high school sweety slips her arm around you and cooooos, "when we get married can we get rid of the MG and get one of those?"
