Burnt dash lights, how do I take the dash apart?

On my C900 I have one of the light bulbs on the main instrument cluster burnt out, and I have one behind the ventilation controls burnt out too, how do I take the C900 dash apart to replace those tiny bulbs?

Search and you shall find, I guess!

I found a good tutorial on C900 dash removal at the Fix my SAAB site (they also have plenty other tutorials for the C900, 9000 and 9-5):

it's a reasonably big job, it takes a long time to get everything back in the first time, but after that it's all good. One of the hard bits is removing the radio/head unit - get the proper tool for this, to slide in to open the tangs that lock it in place. 4 long bolts that go up into the dash that are marked 1-2-3-4 grooves on them, they represent the other of installation from right to left. You need to remove the kick board too that's 1 10mm bolt in the engine bay down inside the fender well on each side. (so you can plug all the plugs back in when you're reinstalling) they're right down low. Remove the 10mm bolt in the ashtray as well.

The instrument bulb is easy. Just remove the speaker grille and look through the windscreen. you can get LED's otherwise make sure you get the correct wattage or you can warp the instrument cluster (They get pretty hot!)

You don't have to take more than the radio out to change hvac control lights. : )
