1989 Saab 900 16 Valve BASE MODEL : Water leak on passenger side?
Hey all, ive got a slight problem regarding my 1989 900 16 valve base model.
Last week my A/C Evap was leaking water underneath the passenger side carpeting. My father went and cleared the Larger of the two hoses that was clogged, and that fixed the problem. we ran the A/C for 4 hours straight counting to and from at Saabs @ Carlisle, no leaks whatsoever.
Today, its quite messy, lots of rain. the leak is back, however it is not the A/C Evap. The seals around the A/C Evap are still intact and not cracked anywhere. there is a Big Hose (which we cleared) and a small hose which i dont know what it leads to. Could this be the issue causing my leak?
***NOTE THAT MY C900 IS A US SPEC MODEL, NOT A 900i***
Thanks for the help all!Last edited by TheSaabNinja; 21 May 2012 at 17:11. Reason: forgot additional information

Sounds like a clogged fresh air vent intake drain hose. You need to move the air conditioner evaporator out as far as you can, and really reach right down to the bottom, it's deep down in there. Remove all leaves and junk, you can also remove the hose and clean it outside the car, then re-install.
Could also be a dry rotted windshield rubber gasket, how are yours? Now: '00 Saab 9-5 Aero Combi - '89 Peugeot 205 CTI - '91 Peugeot 309 GTI

My c900 still has the original windshield from the factory. All the seals are still intact. Not bad for 23 years of age :]
