Front Strut Replacement

Wondering if anyone here has done this and has any words of wisdom. I didn't see a tutorial, maybe I can take some pictures and get one started when I get around to this project.

It still wouldn't hurt to provide pictures or tutorial of your experience in doing this. I often like to read through a few tutorials because there are usually a few differences, especially between different model years. Platonoff's instructions are usually very good but sometimes I see things I would do different or information is missing.

Okay... We'll see when I get around to this project... Was going to do rear dampers and coils along with front subframe mounts on all at the same time... May take a while to round up the money, parts, time and patients.

Tackled the front and rear struts last night. Frank’s write-up on the rear procedure was great. Platonoff’s instructions for the front were dead on. All-in-all the job was a piece of cake… until you drop the bearing race! Lesson learned, and it didn’t happen on the second one. I’d suggest anyone doing this to also pick-up new OEM bump-stops prior to the job, mine were not reusable and the ones I could locate at O’Rileys needed modification in order to fit.
