GM900 - 900se 2.0T headlamp woes.
I sincerely apologies if this is here in the archives somewhere.
I have a 1997 900se, my problem is my LH high beam is intermittent. There is no issue with the bulbs or fuses. I suspect the big orange lamp relay is to blame.
So what I want to ask is, has this happened to anyone else ? And was it the relay?
Taking the relay out and giving it a tap and plugging it back in fixes the problem. I have pulled the fuse box apart and checked everything. But before I go gung-ho on the harness to check wiring to the headlamp from the fuse box I want to see if this is something that is a common problem?
Looking through the cars mechanical history this LH high beam failure has been a problem for the last 13 years???
Appreciate your advice :-)

I find the clips that hold onto the relay tabs get loose too.

Thanks guys. After fighting with the cover on the relay it broke UH-OH. Someone had glued it on with resin?!?
I then discovered the relay had been either a) on fire, or b) someone had poorly tried to re solider the entire thing and burnt the board and basically destroyed it. Which made me think it was glued shut with resin so no one could see ha-ha.
I gave up on trying to fix it, hunted around for a good one and hey presto we have light!!
