2010 9-3 2.0T XWD - BSR Optiflow WITH or WITHOUT SAI?
Hello, this will be my first post on the forums. I have a 2010 9-3 2.0T XWD coming in on a truck in about a weeks time and am very excited to join the Saab community.
I would like to order the BSR Optiflow intake for my 9-3 but I can't seem to find if the 2010 2.0T needs the kit with the smaller breather filter for an SAI.
I have attempted to research this and look at photos of the engine bay, I know to look for a small tube leading into the airbox, but I can only seem to find photos of older models engine bays. I do not want to purchase the cheaper kit with out the breather filter and find out when it is time for the install that I needed it. I was planning to place an order through Genuine Saab but I was told by them that they will be restocking BSR products in about two weeks. I am moving out of state in exactly two weeks and would like to get the intake on the car before I leave. I found another retailer that carries the kit, ESE Tuning, and on their website it says the 2009+ 9-3 2.0T with XWD requires the kit with the breather filter for the SAI. ESE Tuning - BSR - Opti Flow Filter System
In summary, I would like to know which Optiflow kit I need; the one with or without the SAI breather filter. Thank you in advance!

Turns out I did in fact need the smaller breather filter for a SAI. ESE Tuning's website was correct that the 2009+ XWDs have a SAI. I can not say for sure if the FWD models have one also.
I thought this information would be helpful to others because most people think that only the 2003 9-3's have an SAI. I can post pictures if requested.

I haven't seen too many members here who tuned their 9-3. Glad to hear you figured it out and your feedback may be helpful for others.
Welcome!
