Rear door power failure - 2005 Saab 9-3 Vector Sport
No power is going to the rear doors on my Saab. This is causing the locks on both rear doors not to work and the electric windows not to work. The front doors and boot work perfectly.
This used to be an intermittent problem but now it is pretty permanent. When it was intermittent, it affected both rear doors at the same time causing the locks and rear windows not the work. No error messages show on the display. I originally thought it was an issue with the locks but couldn't understand why it effected both doors at the same time and didn't realise it effected the windows too.
What i have done so far:
1). Disconnected negative term of battery - This reset the system so it worked for a short time and then returned to its broken state
2). Replaced fuses 6 & 7 (rear door module fuses). While these were not broken, it rules out dodgy fuses/corrosion etc. - This reset the system so it worked for a short while before returning to its broken state
3). Disconnected the rear door connectors to check for dust and corrosion. Nothing appeared wrong here so it had no effect
4). Taken it to a dealer and plugged it into their system but no failures are showing (this was when the fault was intermittent and the doors were working at the time)
This is becoming a bit of a nightmare now so any help would be appreciated. Even if you don't know what the fault is, more information about where the power comes from etc. would be helpful
Many thanks in advance

I don't know but #2 may be the key to the problem. No pun intended.

Does your master switch have the window lock on? If so turn it off and try again. Just a thought. Have the rear door panels been taken apart recently? Might be unplugged switches. A Dealer would be ablet o diagnose if there IS a problem - what did they say?
