    I broke it...

Well, not the car. But I broke this the other day while cleaning it -

Not sure how it happened, but the plastic part just broke off and fell in.

Anybody know if that plastic cowl piece is replaceable? Or even what it's called? Obviously, it doesn't make a difference in the car's function or performance and I can't see that it's broken while driving, but it bugs me having a little trim piece broken.

It's officially called a retraction cover but is also known as shifter jalousie.

I have read you can also cut the new cover at the hole for the gear selector so you don't have to dismantle the selector lever casing. I have never replaced it myself though so I don't know if it takes a lot of time.

Just ran out a lunch and picked one up for ~$26 at the "dealership". I may take a hack at installing it tonight or tomorrow.
