Difference between the standard and Harmon Kardon audio system

The brochure lists the Harmon Kardon optional audio system as an 11-speaker audio system with 5.1 surround sound capability. The standard Premium system has nine speakers, including a front center speaker that improves the sound distribution.

Anyone listened to both systems? Is there a big quality difference between the two? Do both have a subwoofer or at least good bass? I used to have the upgraded Bose system in my 9-4X and thought it sound excellent.

    Premium Sound System.
With nine speakers, including a front center speaker that improves the sound distribution. (Standard)

    Harman/Kardon ® Surround Sound System.
The top-of-the-line sound system with 11 speakers. Allows you to experience true 5.1 surround sound from DVD audio/videos or simulated surround sound from MP3s and CDs. (Optional)
It's not that I am actively looking for a 2nd gen 9-5 but there are some good deals on new and slightly used 9-5 right now.

We have both the 9-4X with the Bose and the 2010 9-5 Aero with the H-K. The sound is comparable. No distortion. Best of any car we've ever owned.

In another forum I read that the standard system is a little underpowered, but I have not listed to standard versus H-K to compare.

The brochure doesn't list any wattage for the systems and on paper the only difference is 2 speakers and surround sound capability. I imagine there must me more differences for $1000 so perhaps different amps and such like the first-gen 9-5.

What about the navigation/touchscreen system? Is the H/K system included with that, optional or not available? The brochure doesn't mentioning anything about that at all.

My 2010 9-5 window sticker had/has two entries ... one for HK (which I think was $995) and one for navigation/infosystem ($2K+).

So I would say the HK system is not included with the navigation, but is available.

I was told by the Saab dealer that the HK system has a more powerful amplifier and 2 additional rear speakers. It sounds great!
