I was updating my profile and I don't think I shared much information about myself before. So here is a belated introduction.

I was born and grew up in the Netherlands. I studied in the USA in 1990 and moved there permanently in 1994 when I was 27. I have mostly lived in Michigan but also in Southern California for a few years.

My advanced education started in The Netherlands at a private automotive college where I studied automotive technology, marketing and management. After graduation, I continued my study at Northwood University in Midland, Michigan for one year. I graduated with a BBA degree in Automotive Marketing and Management in 1990.

I have worked in Information Technology for most of the time because I kind of rolled into it. And here I am 20 years later (that long already??), can't really stand it anymore so am anxious to switch career and do something in the automotive business. The question is what exactly...

I got interested in Saab in 2006 when I was living in California at the time. I never really paid any attention to the brand before and it has been a very interesting ride since I took my first test drive in a Saab 9-3.

What is nice here is having a dual perspective on the issues in the industry not just the New York Times and Detroit Free Press view of the world.
