Stuck in Shop
Hello all:
I feel like part of a unique community with my brand new 9-3 convertible (actually my wife's) in the shop 6 weeks now waiting for parts. Car has 12k miles on it and was hit by a Lexus. No warranty coverage, no parts. Hopefully I can get some tips from the Forum to ease the pain.

Welcome to the site, wish it was under better circumstances. What parts are you waiting for?

Thank you Frank. I'm told it's down to the right front headlight assembly and body molding for the right front quarter panel. They're (authorized dealer) supposed to have it in by "mid-October" but the ETA seems to change weekly. This has been a real fiasco and hopefully Saab Parts will get their act together and start shipping parts again. Wonder why it's taken this long since the Swedish Government took them over last June.

Why not get used parts? Or get used parts now to get the car back on the road again and exchange with the new parts when they become available. You can always sell those used parts.

Glad to hear the dealer got your part and hopefully your Saab is back on the road again very soon.
This thread list mostly places for new parts but also some suggestions for used parts: http://saabworld.net/f15/where-does-...ir-parts-1425/
I think the best site for finding used parts is Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market . Another good source is eBay. Used Saab Parts: Goldwing Recycled Saab Parts is another well-known source for used Saab parts.
