Kanundrum-
I have never done any LED work, but my 2010 9-5 Aero has the middle light out as well. Can you detail how to perform this task? Im afraid I will break a fastener or cause some irreparable harm like breaking the actual light, housing, or something.
Thanks in advance. BTW- EVERY Saab board in existence is talking about this issue.

Im going to attempt to take out later today, weather permitting. Ill get pics up ASAP. Hoping it is just a harness situation and just needs to be reseated.

The light bar on my brother in law's 2011 9-5 just went out. It's really a shame as that's one of the best features of the car at night. He's ready to trade his in as it's making all kinds of noises when making a right turn or when the A/C is on. I've tried telling him to have it checked out as it could be minor but he refuses to put any money into the car at all since he got it in March. Perhaps if he goes to trade it in and they offer him much less than what he owes he'll consider getting it checked out to cut his losses. My 2010 9-5 has been great so I'm hoping I don't have any problems within the next 3-5 years. =)

I replaced the light bar on my 04 ARC Wagon with 12v LED's. They are water proof and in-cased in a type of clear rubber for use in a marine environment. (I got them for my boat originally.) I just cut the old circuit board off and soldered on the led light strip to the old wires with plug.
Here is a link; http://saabworld.net/f9/3rd-break-li...5-wagon-28511/
I got the light strip from from Ebay.
Good luck.

ok so now MY lightbar went out this past Friday. I was planning on taking it in next week to get the nav / bluetooth / compass / voice commands repaired so now i guess i should budget an additional $500 for the light bar.

I don't get why people aren't cracking these open and checking the connections!
