Turn signal switch malfunction
For right hand turn, signal works fine, but for left hand turn, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't which made me think of a false contact.
At the Saab dealership, they investigated, told me the switch was a "solid plastic block" and nothing could be done but replace it:
price of the part between 600 and 700 euro. EXPENSIVE !!!!
Is there an alternative?

Update:
Apparently the turn signal switch is a part of the cim unit and isn't sold seperately, therefore the whole unit must be replaced hence the elevated cost.
Found a post on another Saab Forum "Saab Central" where they show how to open the cim unit and where they fix the windshield wiper switch:

Hope this is of use to anyone. I'm going to look into it with the mechanic at my Saab dealership.
