Vintage Question on 2005 plated Aero

I'm a little perplexed over my Saab which I've had for a month or so now as there are things that are cropping up that are making me question the model year of the vehicle.

The VIN is Australian issue and the Plated registration is Novermber 2005, however under the bonnet is the 2.8T V6 turbo and the headlamps are Xenon. Also the boot release is missing.

Research has led me to believe that the 2.8T was not available until the 2006 model and I believe the Xenon's and boot release deletion were also part of the 2006 design.

I've posted the link to my Garage pics and i would welcome any feedback from anyone to help shed light ob this conundrum: the $50,000 question is - Do I own a 2005 or 2006 9-3 Aero???

A 06. the production runs started in late Aug. what is the last 8 of the vin.

I figured it an 06 - last 8 on Vin > 961010856
