Might be trading in th 04 9-5 Aero Wagon ...
For a 1993 C900!
Had an e-mail from someone looking to find a home for their old Saab ... and they are the original owner!
I'm going to look at it on Saturday to see if the pictures they sent me really do it justice (in the pics, the car appears MINT!!!!).President, The Saab Club of Canada

Great find but quite a change from the 9-5! How many kilometers on the odometer?

Just a hair under 200K kms ... about 125K miles.
From everything I have seen so far (just pics and descriptions from the ORIGINAL owner), it appears to be in even better condition than my 04!!!
The back seat was always covered with a blanket, it was stored for a number of winters, and there is no evidence of rust anywhere!
The leather looks fantastic as do the door sills ... dash (from what I can see) is in very good condition.
Radio was replaced with something newer ... and (oh, the shame), the antenna was broken off by vandals ...
I've never had an opportunity to get something like this (and it may even come with all of the service records - which by the way, she said it was very well maintained ... whatever it needed, it got!!!!).
I'm hoping to actually bring it back with me after seeing it Saturday. I'm taking another Saab bud (Jetman - a C900 guru) out with me to have a look ... if it is as good as I think / hope, I'll drive it right to Aktive Motors to have them safety it!President, The Saab Club of Canada

Sounds like a good deal, jump in on it before someone else does. The antenna is a cheap and easy fix, and having no rust and maintenance records is a plus. What is the owner asking for it?

I made a similar move when I sold my 9-4X and bought an older Saab. Even though I could afford it, it was just a lot of money every month I could be saving for something else. Or spending on other things. I owned many different newer and older cars and had fun with all of them, especially the Saabs. I often find it more satisfying owning an older car you can keep on the road by doing things yourself or fixing up than buying a new(er) car with warranty you bring to the dealer for service and warranty.
140hp is actually not that bad. Aren't they much lighter cars as well? Not as fast as your 9-5 but still should be a lot of fun. And it's a Saab after all. And rowing though the gears yourself should provide some fun as well.

The great thing is, the owner is looking for someone who will care for it ... that's all!
I am thinking that I will just bring it home with me on Saturday after I look at it ... can't imagine it wouldn't be worth taking.
My 04 9-5 Aero IS up for sale if anyone is interested ...President, The Saab Club of Canada
