Noise from the center lower portion of the dash
I have a noise from the center lower portion of the dash like a fan running after the engine is shut off for 15 minutes or so, is this normal? Just purchased the car, it is the 2003 model, 9-3 convert. It sounds like it is coming out of the on-star portal. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Don

The noise you are hearing is likely the ambient air temperature sensor fan. Over time it gets clogged up with just and it wears the bearings out. You can pop the ACC panel out and flip it 180 degrees to see if the noise goes away or just buy a replacement. Fairly easy to install.
