struts needed front and back
i was told i needed front and back struts, how much do people usually charge for all of this. 2004 9 3 arc

It actually depends on the make of shocks (rear) and struts (front) you choose. There are very expensive to stock (Sachs), the suspension specialist I use swears on Monroe for a inexpensive replacement for stock. It really depends on the style of driving you do and the size of your pocketbook. If I might ask who told you that you needed them?

Figure about 2.5 - 4 hours of labor for the installation, plus the price for the shocks. Sachs are the original shocks installed by Saab. Monroe are so-so in my opinion, I have had them fail after 30,000 miles on a different car (not Saab). If you're looking for performance shocks go Bilstein of Koni, but those cost more $$$.
