fuel filter
Looking for the fuel filter up under the rear axle and all I see is fuel lines clipped onto a black plastic box, is the filter inside this box?

fuel filter
What year is your car? On the NG900 and old 9-3, the fuel filter is located on the passenger side just in front of the fuel tank, some if them have black plastic covers zip tied to them.

1998 900 se turbo, this looks like the fuel lines are connected directly to this box, plastic lines with the lock clips on the ends. its a big square box.

No, that's not the fuel filter, that's the charcoal canister. The fuel filter is about the size of a soda can with a fuel line going in both ends and secured with banjo bolts and washers.

This is from the WIS.
1. Drain fuel from the filter before removal.
2. Remove the plastic cover on the fuel filter, 2 screws. Undo the banjo fasteners on both sides of the filter.
3. Undo the filter clamp.
4. Remove the filter.

Thats what I thought, My one book shows the EVAP cannister in the engine bay, not by the fuel tank. I'll just follow the lines farther up till I find it. Thanks
