Question Traction Control Failure. Contact Service

    Hi

I went to start my 93 the other morning and was shown the above fault.
I would asume that the car should be in motion to get a fault relating to traction control.

As there has been local flooding and wet weather over a number of days, could this be a malfunctioning sensor?

If so, can it be cleaned/dryed and the engine starts or does the computer have to be tinkered with too?

The ABS light does go out. The only fault showing is the traction control symbol and the traction control failure text on the SID.

I had the same warnings about six months ago. Needed a new ecu. Its now happened again. As you say, seems to be the wet weather. I felt around the ecu and it was damp etc. I dried it off with a cloth and after a short time, it started. How can this be fixed?

It started last night for me, although it struggled and I tried it this morning and it wouldn't.

Also told to try the following although I haven't a clue.

"Sounds like you have the 'fairly' common broken wire in the engine bay.
In the fuse box next to the battery you will see a red relay. Take out the relay and you will see 4 pins in the fuse box. Get a paper clip or something similar to bridge two of the pins.
If you stand infront of the fuse box towards the screen they are the pins on the left and right (30 and 87 I think).
Now try and start the car. Let us know the results."
