Angry How do l stop the "door open" chime

When l stop the my 2001 9.5 and turn the motor off and open the door the chime goes off because the key is in the ignition. Yeah, l know the key is in the ignition.
    How do l stop/cancel this?

You just have to pull the key out and put it back in.

The chime runs thru the radio and I dont think you can turn it off even with a Tech II.

Thanks Mike. / Sometimes l like to just leave the key in the ignition and leave the door open....to do things..cleaning, won't be long things etc. Oh, well, might open circuit the door light switch, that should do the trick but won't have interior light come on when l open the door but l can live with that.

You can stop ding-dong noise by plugging in Tech II and disconnect the sound. I've done it with the key/door detector and seat belt warning at my local saab garage.
