Additional participants always helpful (especially if you see "small sample size" next to the year, or no stat at all).

We've updated our reliability stats for the 9-3 to include owner experiences through the end of 2014.

Repair frequencies, in terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year:

    2009 9-3: 89, high, small sample size
    2008 9-3: 43, low
    2007 9-3: 77, moderate
    2006 9-3: 101, high
    2005 9-3: 109, high, small sample size
    2004 9-3: 71, low, small sample size
    2003 9-3: 77, moderate, small sample size

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

    2008 9-3: 66, < 1
    2007 9-3: 45, < 1
    2006 9-3: 51, 16

We'll have further updates in May and in August. If the stat for the model year has "small sample size" next to it, we probably won't be able to provide stats for it for much longer without additional participants.

So, how have these cars been doing lately?

Our reliability stats for the 9-3 now include owner experiences through March 31, 2015. (Others are nearly a year behind.)

In terms of repair trips per 100 cars per year ("low" is best):

    2009 9-3: 64, moderate, small sample size
    2008 9-3: 51, low
    2007 9-3: 75, moderate
    2006 9-3: 71, moderate
    2005 9-3: 64, low, small sample size
    2004 9-3: 91, moderate, small sample size
    2003 9-3: 123, high, small sample size

Plus, the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

    2008 9-3: 60, < 1
    2006 9-3: 55, 12

No stat for a model year? Then we very much need more participants for it. Same for those with small sample size notes. Next updates in August and November.

Our reliability stats for the 9-3 now cover the year ending June 30, 2015. (Others are over a year behind, and so report how these cars were doing when a year younger.)

    Repair trips per 100 cars:

    2009 9-3: 68, moderate, small sample size
    2008 9-3: 61, moderate
    2007 9-3: 64, moderate
    2006 9-3: 66, moderate
2005 9-3: 62, low, very small sample size
    2004 9-3: 89, moderate, small sample size
    2003 9-3: 116, moderate, small sample size
2002 9-3: 133, high, very small sample size
2001 9-3: 116, moderate, very small sample size

We have two additional statistics, "Nada-odds" and "Lemon-odds", to indicate the percentage of cars with no repairs in the past year and those that required 3+ trips to the repair shop:

    2008 9-3: 59, 3

As suggested by the sample size notes, we need more participants to properly cover these cars.
