85 Notch needs saving

Saw this on CL and stopped by to take a look.

I was dressed up a bit and could not crawl around to much. Car did not start battery was dead, has 130K or so on the clock, it's and 8V non Turbo.
Body is in really good shape, but has some 85 wire harness rot causing the drivers window not to go all the way up. Interior is fair

Car is located near Wellsboro, Pa They were asking $1500, but think it could be had for less.

I could use the bumpers for my 85, but thinking this car needs restored and I have too many projects going. Plus Wife would kill me....

No shot of the front but it is in good shape with a painted black grill.

I know where a FREE Turbo motor is too from a 93'

I saw this one on Phoenix CL (don't need another SAAB right now - my younger daughter is looking for a new beetle). The asking on this is 2200, which could probably be gotten for less.

Talked to the notch owner today. Car has not run in a year. She also thinks the PS pump is locked up.
The car is from Florida and only spent 3 years in Pennsylvania so not really much rust. Paint is pretty much dead though.
My wife overheard the conversation and gave me the now way in He** are you buying another car.

Maybe it's based on where you live, but that seems really expensive for a fixer-upper like that.
